Sign & Re-sign the Books
You may sign the Job Referral books at any time using the options below.
In order to stay on the list, you MUST participate in re-sign from the 1st- 20th of every January, April, July and October while you are on the job book.
Book 1A:
- Must be a Local 18 member (“A” member).
- Have been dispatched with us before and have worked one year or more with LADWP within the last four years.
- Required: Driver’s license. Dues must be current.*
*Make sure it reads Electrical Mechanic or Const Eltl Mech.
Book 1:
- Can be a member of any other IBEW Local Union (“A” member).
- Have been dispatched with us before and have worked one year or more with LADWP within the last four years.
- Required: Driver’s License, Travel Letter (issued within one year), Dues Receipt (issued within three months).
Book 2:
- Can be a member of any other IBEW Local Union (“A” member).
- Have never been dispatched with us.
- Required: Driver’s License, Travel Letter (issued within one year), Dues Receipt (issued within three months).
* Make sure it reads JRMY/WRMN on your travel letter & dues receipt.
Book 1:
- Must be a Local 18 member (“A” member).
- Have been dispatched with us before and have worked one year or more with LADWP within the last three years.
- Required: Driver’s License. Dues must be current.
*You can only sign one ECH book
Book 2:
- Can be a member of any other IBEW Local Union (“A” member. Dues receipt must read GROUNDMAN with no digit after the word).
- Required: Driver’s License and Dues Receipt (issued within three months).

Book 3:
- Not a Local Member.
- One year experience in electrical construction.
- Required: Driver’s License, letter from employer with matching W2.

Book 4:
- No experience, or class, or local.
- Required: Driver’s License.

Book 1:
- Local 18 member.
- Must have a CLIMBING CERTIFICATE (600 hours with 175 hours of pole climbing).
- Required: Driver’s License and Climbing Certification. Dues must be current.
*Only Climbing Certificates will be accepted.
Book 2:
- Not a Local 18 Member.
- Must have a CLIMBING CERTIFICATE (600 hours with 175 hours of pole climbing).
- Required: Driver’s License and Climbing Certification.
*Only Climbing Certificates will be accepted.
Book 1:
- NOT a Local 18 member or any IBEW Local.
- NOT an active, working, dues paying member of any trade union.
- Have no experience.
- Must have a Driver’s License that shows you live in LA COUNTY. If the license does not reflect LA County but you do reside in LA County, provide proof from DMV that shows you live in LA County.
- Required: Driver’s License.
- You must be 18 or older.
*You cannot sign any other books (Electrical Mechanic, ECH or Distribution Helper)
